Just a quick update!

April 13, 2007
It's been a busy few days here what with traveling and all, but fear not, I have been drinking lots of wine and enjoying the break from work.

I have many great things to tell you about, including a wonderful visit for tasting with Ken of Ala Wine and his lovely wife.

Tonight we are heading to meet Farley of Wine Outlook for dinner. It's been great to actually meet the people behind the blogs!

We've already been to Seghesio and will be heading to several other vineyards today.

Not to mention a stellar $6.95 Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand that I found at Chronicle Wine Cellar in Pasadena, on the recommendation of Dr. Debs of Good Wine Under $20.

So stay tuned for some great reviews and hopefully beautiful pictures from the vineyards. It's a gorgeous day in the Sonoma area and we are certainly ready to taste after the delicious breakfast here at the Vintage Towers.

So glad you are having a good time. I'm very jealous that you saw Ken AND Farley, but glad that you found a good white wine at Chronicle. Can't wait for all the details!

Me, the sauvignon blanc "piggy" am really looking forward to hearing about the one you tried! You will be happy to know that I did try a shiraz the other night instead of my nightly "hit" of SB. I did a post on it also. So glad you are enjoying your vacation!

sounds like a great trip. If you're looking for other stops we had an enjoyable stop at a small family winery called Sunce in Sonoma, near the Russian River.

Dr.Debs, loved the store! And bought more than just the white! I have so much to write up it's almost overwhelming, especially on about 3 hours of sleep at the moment.

Winedeb, glad you stepped out of the box! I'll be sure to write about the sauvignon blanc soon.

David, I'll have to catch that one next time, we were done tasting by the time you posted!

Farley, loved meeting you too! And loved the Meritage. Will blog about it shortly.

Sure wish I could have cleared my schedule to meet up with you and Matt, Megan. I'm happy to see you enjoyed your California visit. Next time you come out, keep me in your plans, and bring your hiking gear.

I'm sorry we missed you too Russ! Next time for certain, as I am sure this will not be our last trip to the area by any means!
